Tumble Dryer repair - your questions answered
Why has my tumble dryer stopped heating?
Usually a failed heating element, thermostat or thermal fuse. On condenser and heat-pump dryers, a blocked condenser can also stop it heating. We test each component and replace only what's failed.
Is it safe to use a tumble dryer that's stopping mid-cycle?
It's best to stop using it until it's checked. Mid-cycle cut-outs are often caused by overheating from a blocked filter or vent - that's the fault behind most tumble dryer fires, so it's worth taking seriously.
Can you repair condenser and heat pump dryers?
Yes - we repair vented, condenser and heat pump tumble dryers. Heat pump models are a little more involved but most faults are still repairable at a sensible cost.
How much does a tumble dryer repair cost?
Repairs start from £45 including the callout, with a clear quote before any work. Call before midday and we'll aim to be with you the same day.
