Dishwasher repair - your questions answered
Why is my dishwasher not draining?
Usually a blocked filter, a kinked drain hose or a failed pump. Cleaning the filter yourself takes two minutes and is worth trying first - if that doesn't fix it, we'll clear or replace the pump.
Why are my glasses coming out cloudy?
Often it's limescale or a blocked spray arm rather than a fault, especially in hard water areas. If cleaning the arms and using salt doesn't help, it can be a failing heating element not reaching temperature - we test and replace as needed.
Is a leaking dishwasher safe to use?
Best not - water near electrics isn't worth the risk. Switch it off at the wall and call us. Door seals and inlet valves are the usual cause and both are quick, inexpensive fixes.
How much does a dishwasher repair cost?
Repairs start from £45 including the callout. We quote the full cost of any part and labour up front, and most common faults are fixed on the first visit.
