Oven & Cooker repair - your questions answered
My oven isn't heating up - can it be repaired?
Almost always, yes. A dead element is the usual culprit and it's one of the quickest, cheapest repairs we do. We test the element, thermostat and door switch to be sure before quoting.
My cooker keeps tripping the electrics - is it dangerous?
It needs checking before you use it again. It's often a faulty element earthing out, which is a straightforward repair, but we carry out a full safety check after the fix so you can cook with confidence.
Do you repair gas cookers as well as electric?
We repair electric ovens, hobs and cookers. For gas appliances you'll need a Gas Safe registered engineer - if yours is gas, call us anyway and we'll point you in the right direction.
How much does an oven repair cost?
Repairs start from £50 including callout and diagnosis. Elements and thermostats are among the cheapest appliance parts, so most oven repairs come in well under the cost of a replacement.
